Can’t ignore flowers October 23, 2009

All the time I write only about the vegetables in my garden. So, it’s quite natural for the flowers in my garden to get a complex. Some time back they complained and requested for being put on display here. Also, how can a organic gardener ignore flowers. A successful organic garden tries to strike a balance between different elements of nature like vegetable, fruit, flower, herb plants, ornamentals. Everything put together is what clicks in nature. So, here you go, this time flowers from my garden:

This orangey-yellow hibiscus is one of my favourite, it produces 2-3 flowers on a regular basis. It’s growing in a old paint container.

Gladiolus took, what felt a like a long time to come to flowering stage, but once they flowered, they were darling of everyone. The plant grew to a length of 4-5 ft though with weak stem and providing support was always a concern.

Not very colorful but more than makes up for absence of colour by it’s fragrance. This too is one of my favourite.

    Hi Raja,

I would suggest you to create one database for nurseries and other garden need stores you have visited. This database will help lot of people as information will be handy.

    Some one said very truely..

Listen a song you like: be happy for 5 mins
Go for a picnic : be happy for a day
Get married : be happy for a year

Plant a garden : be happy for the rest of your life…
