Quite often I read about fairs and exhibitions in news paper only after the day they have already taken place in Bangalore. So, there is nothing one can do to attend them. I always wished, the news papers to carry more detailed and prominently displayed information about the upcoming events rather than write reviews about the ones which have already taken place. Specially for events like these which doesn’t involve big names, actors, actresses, cricketers or the rich & famous. Makes sense ??
Well, then here you go! This is exact reproduction of the invite mail I have got from a friend about Namma Santhe, taking place on the coming Sunday, 7th March 2010. The event is being organized by Navachetana Trust and the schedule and the nature of the event is very clear from banners and the information given below. See you there !! (Note: I am not associated with the event, just that I am also interested to attend such events and learn more about green and eco-friendly ways.)
There is a registration fees of Rs. 150/- per head for people who would like to avail the facility of Nature Food Workshop for others it’s free.

NATURE FOOD WORKSHOP. MARCH 7TH 2010
RETURN TO NATURE. HEAL YOURSELF
All of us wish to live a healthy and happy life free from disease but very few of us make serious efforts in this direction. The life of modern man is far removed from nature. We lead hectic lives full of tension, inhale polluted air, drink polluted water, eat junk and contaminated food and indulge in all sorts of excesses, including a non-active lifestyle. We refuse to understand that a healthy life is possible only by living in accordance with the rules of nature.
SO WHAT DO WE DO ? Let Nature guide us.
Life is nature’s gift to us and we can respect this gift only by reverting to Mother Nature for guidance. She has provided us with a variety of food options, but instead of including them in their natural form in our diet, we process them in such a way that they get depleted of their life giving nutrients. It’s no wonder then that we require more medication to save ourselves from the harmful effects of unnatural foods and thus pour more toxins into our bodies. Not only do these drugs have side effects in the long run, but they also damage internal organs.
A diet of raw food helps us remain healthy. Raw foods contain a large amount of nourishing and disease fighting nutrients like vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Raw food is also capable of curing chronic diseases and keeping our mind and body healthy. The results of experiments and research carried out in the area of raw diets are testimony to this fact and hopefully will provide a ray of hope for ways to achieve wellbeing and good health.
Today, people all over the world are realizing the importance of raw food – fruits, fruit juices, vegetables, especially those that are organically grown.
Our simple efforts are ongoing and aim to create awareness about natural living and natural eating. Being in the field of naturopathy, we firmly believe that organically grown food items will have 100% healing power if consumed the right way. Our Nature Food Workshop intends to motivate you to take a closer at food, and the relationship it has with your body.
